Geraint Thomas’ farewell party at Cardiff Castle
Sunday afternoon 7 September 2025

The choir was honoured to receive an invitation to greet Geraint in song as he drew his professional cycling career to a close in his home city. A close relationship has developed between Ger and the choir over the last few years and we were delighted to share this memorable occasion in his company.

Côr Meibion Taf welcomes Geraint Thomas
Côr Meibion Taf had the privilege of performing at Cardiff’s New Theatre as part of The Geraint Thomas Cycling Club podcast. The live podcast took place on Tuesday, 7 November 2023. The choir rehearsed hard for the evening and Geraint was invited to meet us and hear us for himself at Llandaff Rugby Club.

‘Easily one of the best social events we have ever hosted at the clubhouse. You and all the members of the choir are an absolute credit to Wales and we would be honoured to host you again in two years’ time.’
